Behavior Plan and Work Policies

Every Sealston Elementary classroom has the same set of rules and expectations for students. The following is the matrix we use school-wide:

Homework Policy:

Homework is an extension of the day’s learning and provides each child with needed review and practice. Homework is given on a regular basis.   According to the county homework policy, average daily homework assignments for fifth and sixth graders should be approximately one hour in length.  Please check your child’s agenda daily to ensure completion of assigned work.  All daily assignments should be written in the correct subject space in the agenda.  Your help in this matter will keep us abreast of any problems in organization and completion of homework in a timely fashion. It is the student’s responsibility to turn in assignments on time.  All assigned work is due the next day unless specified.  Assignment grades will be adjusted for late work.
